Preposições de Lugar - In, At, On - explicação simples:

In - dentro

At - no (local tal)

On - em cima de,  sobre.

Exemplos:

The book is in the drawer.
(O livro esta dentro da gaveta)

The book is at the bookstore.
(O livro esta na livraria)

The book is on the table.
(O livro esta em cima da mesa)

Mais exemplos:

My mother is at the supermarket. 
(minha mae esta no supermercado)

The sunglasses are on the TV.
(Os oculos de sol estao sobre a TV)

The dog is in the car!
(O cachorro esta dentro do carro!)
